Anxious & Envious

March 13, 2008

[bows] yeah, I am sure you wish to know why I’m anxious and envious - There was an event (MoMa) that gallaudet students attended in New York City, two weeks ago. I planned, double-checked and met with the art chairperson, M. Glass who’s responsible for this “field trip”. It was all settled, I could come and join their group! I was in the mood for shopping and photographing, I became anxious.

Bam. That morning, i ended up not going – i missed the 6am chinatown bus and I had to take another. its 8am, and the bus is full! [no, i didnt buy ticket online!] I frowned, groaned and realized I am still ok – I would still go there in few days with my girlfriend. So, lucky me…

Anyway, I checked out the event online and discussed with other students who went – it sounded amazing and worth going. I gathered other photographers’ pictures who attended that event – you can see what it’s like going to the Picasso section [the students are studying specifically about Picasso!].

one of the moments, everyone knows this work. >_<*

When I am go to nyc this weekend, im gunna check THAT MoMa, schedule some photoshoots with models for a client, do a NYU tour, nyphotofestival event by powerhouse magazine, china art exhibition, and dangerousmathematics; then the rest of the other day to do romantic things with my girlfriend. ^_^* [yeah, no beach this time]

Ah, I do enjoy going to cities, was at philadelphia due to appt. While there I also checked AI (art institute of philadelphia) for their workshops and events. My sister joined me, she wants to get into an art major so I’m encouraging her to start with this location.

Ok, I’m yapping, i’ll blog next time with more as well – au revoir!

p.s. why don’t ya go along w me? ^_^

Lucky Strike!

January 23, 2008

Gallaudet’s new students during orientation week are really lucky, really!

Last summer, I went to one of New York City’s “Lucky Strike” bowling alleys but it was nothing compared to this place! The Lucky Strike in Chinatown [DC] is much more friendly, comfortable and very modern…

Well, I’ll let you get the idea. ^_^

while waiting for their turns, they chitchat and enjoy time away from gallaudet…

And i thought this was beautiful place to stay, drink, chat and possibility dance off in your own world.

There are a lot of glowing colors including Chinese lights hanging, seemly getting into the modern moods. Not only that, I love their artwork displayed in slideshows while you bowl and they have a small art gallery nearby coffee/tea lounge. If you are curious what the artwork looks like [I know I was!], check out: http://www.bowlluckystrike.com/

Then you can click ART on the menu, browse away and enjoy!

At the end, they love to be silly! ^_^*
Too bad they are enjoying themselves too much and that I couldn’t join in!
Now that its their first week of schooling along with returning students, I wish them the best semester!
Au revoir

Welcome Back Students!

January 22, 2008

Welcome to Spring Semester ‘08!

Since new students came earlier than returning students, I had a chance to meet and photograph them. Here’s some photographs of them being newbies to campus. ^^

The new students also went to “Lucky Strike” bowling for relief.
That, I will post on my next entry!
