Now I can say it is officically summer! School’s over for me! I just had my last final exam and I’m so thrill to throw all the papers in the air and have all the fun I can now…

Wow, we only have 3 weeks of school left.. Which is hard to believe.. It was just like yesterday when I started a new set of adventures at Gally in D.C.
A whole semester almost coming to an end and then comes SUMMER, just what I’ve been waiting for! I can’t wait to take a long break from school and release all the stress from within and just HAVE SOME FUN IN THE SUN! Well not exactly because then I gotta make money and start working here and there.
More projects coming up and the worse part, they are due just about the same day, that’s gotta be stressing don’t you think?
I’m still loving life here at Gallaudet, but at the same time I miss home. I miss the Lone State, Texas. I can’t wait to go home and tell my family and friends all the wonderful things that has happened here.
Rockfest is coming up this weekend. I bet everyone is pumped up and ready to have loads of FUN. I’m looking forward to it, I have never been to any Rockfest or Brickfest events of any sort. So it’s going to be crazy and interesting. Also my friend, Ben from Texas is also coming up here. Casey and I are very excited about that.
Anyways, I’m off to do my projects, try and get as much done.
In ASL class a couple of weeks ago after Spring Break, we were discussing the similaries between Harry Potter and Deaf people.. I never realized they are similar….
Hogwarts School of Witchcrafts and Wizarding- School for the Deaf
Harry Potter- wizard and his parents are wizards - Deaf person with Deaf parents
Hermione- wizard and her parents are muggles (non magic folks)- Deaf person with hearing parents
when we discussed this in class, I was very excited learning how much they are related. I have never thought of it that way.

I’m doing a project for my theatre class on the play THE PLOUGH AND THE STARS.. What I am required to do is pretend if I were to direct this play targeting Deaf audiences, how would I adapt Act 2 in its entirely without sacrificing the intended impact of the “Voice of the Man” or gutting the “voice” out?
The man is UNSEEN and outside the setting of the pub: how would you stage and/or block the juxtaposition between that Man and the characters in the pub as played by d/Deaf actors? The challenge is difficult: you have to try figuring out how to present the UNSEEN Man without resorting to ‘magic interpreters.
I find this rather difficult, but interesting at the time. I’ve been throwing ideas with how to do this without the person being seen…

I don’t think I’ve ever been any more confused about this whole early Easter thing.. I remember my friend was telling me that she was going to church for Easter, and I was like, “Hang on a minute, Easter in March?” I don’t remember the last time I’ve heard of Easter in March. It was so confusing, but come to think of it, what happens to the people who celebrates Easter every year and didn’t know about the changes of Early Easter? Then they celebrate late Easter or they missed it?
Ahhh for Theatre class we reading this Irish play called The Plough of the Stars.. I see it fits today’s holiday, St Patrick’s Day… Loads of stuff to read and I’m not wanting to read it anytime during my Spring Break, it’s a bit hard to get my brain to be willing to work during my week off from school…
I’m selling my tmobile wing, because I need the money and the phone doesn’t suit my style.. So in less than 17 hours the phone is no longer mine. Yay! I’m getting a sidekick lx.. SOmething I’ve been wanting for a while…

So nice to be back in Texas especially when it’s WARM!!! I’m happy, I got here around 4 pm, my parents picked me up at the airport and it took about an hour to get back home because the traffic was sooo HORRIBLE, it was mad.. Finally after all those long sitting, I’m home!!!!!! Just so nice to be able to walk around and enjoy the nice weather in short sleeves, I’ve been getting tired of DC’s weather… Spring Break has offically began for me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I’m so EXCITED! Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince will be release in theaters Novemeber 21st, 2008! I will be wearing my Hogwarts robe without a doubt!
Good news about the Deathly Hallows movie… They will split the movie in half… I was worry about them cutting alot of good stuff from the book, but looks like they’re not going to. This is what the producer, David heyman said, “Unlike every other book, you cannot remove elements of this book.” This is very exciting! The first film will come out Nov 2010 and the 2nd one, May 2011…
